Its a cone driver in that it has a conventional surround with a centered voice coil, and its also a dome driver in that a significant part of the surface area is convex in shape. The pei dome tweeters clearly and accurately reproduce high-frequency sounds. The 320 watts peak power handling makes these speakers great for use with an external amplifier.
