SafeSeal antimicrobial soft diaphragm is impregnated with antimicrobial compound, which is designed to suppress the growth of bacteria and mold. The soft diaphragms feature four different colors, which are used to help remember to change your SafeSeal from week to week. As an improvement over traditional hard diaphragms, SafeSeal is made from the highly sensitive, yet durable C-Flex non-latex synthetic elastomer. The soft diaphragm conforms to the diameter of your stethoscope chestpiece to create an airtight seal, similar to that of a drum. It’s intended to provide excellent acoustic response while eliminating patient discomfort associated with "cold touch" during routine auscultation. SafeSeal’s unique construction is also resistant to ripping or hardening over time.
