Mossur girl porcelain doll
Our porcelain mossur or mushur hill tribe girl doll is a hand painted porcelain dressed in authentic clothing of the mossur hill tribe. The cloth used to make her clothing is hand made by hand by the mossur hill tribe and is the same material they use to make their own clothing. Our porcelain dolls are made near bantawi just south of chiang mai, thailand where they specialize in traditional hill tribes and thai style porcelain dolls. The authentic costumes of the hill tribe dolls depict the dress and the jewelry of each hill tribe which is uniquely different and reflects their own cultural diversity. The mossur is one of the ten hill tribes found in northern thailand. They refer to themselves as lahu, lahu na or luhu dam. The mossur are mostly found in the higher elevations of the mountains of northern thailand. The mossur build their houses on or above the ground. They are a very religious hill tribe and, like most buddhists in thailand, the mossur honor and respect their elders. Display stand included.
