This Krishna departs from the typical south Indian Krishna. His face, rather than being angular and sharp, has a smooth, almost western appearance. Krishna stands on the octagonal base which flows up to his wide (womanly) hips. This is typical for south Indian masculine gods to have womanly features such as wide hips. On the right side of his crown a peacock feather protrudes. Peacocks are considered auspicious. When Krishna heard that, he just picked up the peacock feather and placed it on His crown. Made of polished South Indian Bronze in the Lost Wax method. Sculpture weighs 19 pounds. Dimensions: 18"H
