Automotive and Accessories Dropshipper
Our Company was founded in 1985 in a garage in Pittston, PA., by Robert Golden, Sr., and his partner, Fred Kiwak. The pair started building lift chairs, which are reclining chairs that have an electrical mechanism that slowly lifts the user up and out of the chair, or helps them lower into the chair. The pair took their product one step further than the competition, by building the entire chair at their facility instead of purchasing a reclining chair and simply adding the lift mechanism. Robert’s son, Richard Golden, took over as CEO of the company in 1991, a position he still holds today. The company currently manufactures four different product lines: scooters, power chairs, luxury beds and lift chairs. Our company expanded into the personal mobility scooter business in 1996 and currently manufactures the Companion series of scooters, which include three- and four-wheel models, the Companion I and Companion II. In 2003 Company introduced the Buzz around scooters, featuring three- and four-wheel models. It also manufactures the Avenger scooters, a heavy-duty scooter. Our company manufactures three different power chair lines. The Alante power chairs feature a swiveling seat mechanism, so that clients can utilize the power chair as either a front-wheel drive or a rear-wheel drive unit. Our Company also manufactures the Alero foldable power wheelchair for easy transportability. In 2005, Company launched its newest power chair, the Company’s Compass, a true center-wheel drive power chair. In 1992 the company began making luxury adjustable luxury beds, and currently offers two models, the standard model and the deluxe model. Our Company started off as a lift chair manufacturer. Today, Company’s lift chairs are recognized as some of the highest quality chairs available today. Available in the Traditional Series, Signature Series, Comforter Series and Value Series, Company has a lift chair to meet every need and budget. Company recently unveiled a 700-lb capacity lift chair for bariatric clients. The company now occupies a 122,000 square-foot manufacturing plant on Bridge Street in Old Forge, PA, and employs 160 people in research and development, production, sales, and customer service. Since 1989, Our Company has experienced tremendous growth each year, despite the fluctuations in the nation’s economy. That success was recognized by two significant announcements in 2002. In April 2002, competitor and home healthcare heavyweight Invacare Corporation announced that it would phase out its line of lift chairs and made an agreement with Company to assume the sales, servicing and parts for Invacare’s lift chairs that were already delivered to providers or being used by customers. This agreement significantly bolstered Company’s’ position as a leader in the lift chair industry. Also in 2002, Our Company was recognized as a regional employer of choice and an outstanding member of the business community when it was named the 2002 Lackawanna County Small Business of the Year by The Small Business Council of The Greater Scranton, Pa., Chamber of Commerce.
