Our company offers custom pastel portraits. The detail and quality of the final portrait is directly related to the quality and focus of the photographs that you supply us with. These photos will be returned to you. Portraits are typically about 15” x 19” (fits nicely in a standard size 20” x 24” frame) and are on acid-free Mi-Tientes pastel paper. The finished pastel is lightly sprayed with a fixative, however, pastel paintings are delicate and must be handled with care. Glycine paper is placed over the portrait to protect it from smudging, and it is packed and shipped in a special cushioned box which securely holds the piece until you unwrap it in the safety of your home. Turnaround time depends on the number of commissions currently being painted, however, the typical timeframe is generally about 2 months.
